The Scoop

Man, if feels good to be thinking about fall fashion. Summer fashion is not my thing anymore. Let’s face it, I am old, I don’t look good in things that show skin. I don’t feel good in things that show skin. I love to be wrapped in warm colors and soft fabrics and rich textures. And so, my love of fall fashion. When you think about it even the foods, we eat in the fall are colorful and rich in texture.

Every time I think about working on this blog, I think nobody wants to see this stuff. Too much is going on in the world, we are all in some sort of fight or flight or survival mode. It’s hard to be cheerful when so many are hurting. But some days, I take the plunge and pretend everything is ok.

My Look

So, the star of this show is the boots. I have been slow to move toward this low key almost sloppy trend. But at the same time, it takes me back to my childhood where I wore cowboy boots most days of my life. I was a cowgirl, I was riding horses and living life in the country. It was wonderful. So how can I bring that feeling back?

By trying out these boots. When in doubt I always go with less expensive and then if I really love it, I might graduate to the quality thing. And I must say, I am in love with the look and feel of casual boots right now. They did not break the bank; they are very comfortable and so so cute!

Here I am wearing them with a skirt I have had a few years. I added a rich brown cardigan and an old favorite necklace. My birthday LV was the perfect bag for this look.
