This vest will be going with me on vacation. It is probably one of the best things I have bought this summer. The quality is amazing and I am gravitating to this color a lot for fall. I wore it with a dress that I got last summer and my new western boots that I am gaga over. My bag is so old I am not sure where I got it.

The Scoop

Happy Friday! This week seemed so long to me. But summer seems to be flying by. August is the last month of real summer weather for us here in Idaho.

I am so excited though because we finally scheduled our vacation. We have had so much going on this summer that I wasn’t sure we could fit in our trip to the Oregon coast. But I rented our cottage yesterday and, in a few weeks, we will be walking on the beach and eating seafood!

This is one of our favorite places to visit. The cottages are right in front of the beach so you just walk out your door and on to the beach. They are fully furnished and dogs are welcome. They give you everything you need to enjoy the ocean including a wagon filled with bonfire fixings so you can have a fire on the beach in the evenings.

This is not a warm weather beach. The highs will be around 70 and the lows will be around 50. I adore this place and can’t wait to go! It is extremely beautiful. It is a very small quiet little town but 20 minutes down the road you can find all kinds of things to do. We have been deep sea fishing (so fun!), whale watching and had some amazing food among other things.

P.S. I ordered a half size up in the boots so I would have room for socks and the fit is perfect even without socks. I could not believe how comfortable they are.
