Paperbag Style Jeans
The Scoop
Hey Gang! Well I have really been in the groove here lately on the blog. I have been getting my three posts a week up and really enjoying the process. The more I move to having fun with my blog the more I enjoy it. I only post when it feels right and it is so much more enjoyable.
This week I am in the valley to warm up. It seems like it just won’t warm up enough for me in the mountains this summer. It is getting about that time when it gets hot but that usually comes with wild fires all over the place so it can be smokey. So I’m in the valley for the week enjoying the hot summery weather.
I’m doing my runs, yoga, strength training and multiple daily walks with my pups. Tucker the baby is learning to walk on a leash and he gets so excited it almost over whelms him. He is such a sweetie. And Stella is trying to teach him all her adult dog rules (mostly that she is in charge of EVERYONE) and he is not sure he is the rule following kind of dog. Lets just say its been an adventure for all of us. But one we are all loving!
I have been on a comfort food kick. I’m wanting oatmeal with raisins, brown sugar and cinnamon when I break fast. Then I made a batch of ham salad for sandwiches for lunch. I haven’t made or had ham salad for decades I think. But something about the hot weather makes me nostalgic. I am thinking of my mom a lot and all the things she used to love. She made her ham salad with Bologna! I used ham this time. I still think sometimes that I will give her a call and then realize she’s not there. I miss her wise voice and advice.
Any way back to food! ha ha. I also made tacos last night. Another thing I rarely make anymore. Oh yummy! I was on a diet coke a day kick but have moved more to a La Croix sparkling water with a packet of Emergene-C. My favorite is a tangerine La Croix and tangerine Emergene-C. Oh my gosh it is so good and actually good for me. Sometimes in the evening I will add a shot of vodka! You know, to celebrate the day. Wink.
My Look
So I love these paper bag jeans on other people and I want to love them on me but it is taking some getting used to the fuller silhouette. But what really gets me is how comfortable they are. The most comfortable jeans I own I think. I wore a black body suit and a pair of platform sandals and a hat for this summer look. I carried a satchel put on some sunglasses and jewelry and was ready for a casual day in the mountains.
