The Scoop

I was thinking that I had forgotten how to put an outfit together lately. With moving back to our place in Idaho from Arizona for the summer and all the projects I have been doing it seemed joggers and t-shirts have been my uniform. Also, I wake up most days and dress for working out and it goes downhill from there. What has become of me?

I finally got caught up and took a break from it all and took a trip to Marshals. I found some fabulous fun things and decided to put a few outfits together. One post a week on the blog has been my goal for the last almost year and it seems to fit best with my life now. So, I decided to put a few of my outfits that I created in this one post.

It’s a longer post than normal but here we go! Let me break down these fun spring outfits!

Blue and White

This top was one I got on my Marshals trip. It is going to be perfect this spring and summer. It is very light weight with the prettiest blue and white pattern. My jeans are a couple of years old and my shoes are many years old. I love the kitten heel on them that makes them so comfortable and on trend right now. I’m carrying a very old navy-blue leather bag that has lovely fringe on it. I’m also wearing a pair of old Bauble Bar earrings that are navy blue. So, fun! layered necklaces and bracelets complete this look.

About the Hair

I had to mention my hair cut. I was so ready to get a cut after my hair had grown way past my shoulders. I was almost to the point of cutting on it myself because I was in Arizona and my stylist of 20 years is here in Idaho. I go back in a week or so to get highlights for summer! For a minute I thought I went too short but after styling it I realized this is way easier to care for and just fun for spring and summer.

Orange and Linen

This look came together so perfectly. I found the linen pants (again at Marshals) on the same trip. The colors and style just screamed (BUY ME)! I got two pair of them. A small and a medium. The small for when I want to dress them up a bit so a more fitted look and the medium for when I want casual comfort all the way. My top was in my closet from I think last spring. It is a linen top from J. Crew. It blew my mind that it was the exact color in the pants so it sort of looks like a set. My sandals are probably close to a decade old but I do remember I got them at Marshals in Arizona. The fun little bag was bought about five years ago on Amazon. I remember I saw it on Beth Chappo’s blog. I had to have it. Of course, with her, it sold out fast and has never come back. I wore some old earrings that had orange and turquoise in them and dangle around so fun. Colorful bracelets also found on Beth’s blog and way old.

Lucky Jeans

Back in the early 2000s when I first discovered Lucky Brand jeans, they were all I would buy. Back then they were pricey (around $100) which is inexpensive by today’s standards. They were the best fitting jeans to this day I had ever found for my shape. Imagine my excitement when I found this pair of Lucky Brand jeans at Marshals recently. They are so reminiscent of the cut and style of way back then. Again, they fit me perfectly although I wish I would have sized down one. But they are comfortable and that is what is important. I picked up the light weight floral blouse at the same time and thought it would make a perfect look! I wore the same shoes as in the blue and white outfit and carried an old Mary Sol bag that I got a Nordstrom probably a decade ago. Where has the time gone? I had not shopped at Marshals for months and now I am itching to go back with these kinds of finds.

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace!
