Think Pink Fashion Over 50

Neutral Column

I love to where a monochromatic column especially in a neutral color. Then any accent color will be the star of the show.

Layering jewelry is a fun and trendy way to revitalize our existing pieces.

The Scoop

We are so busy here lately. My husband injured his knee at the gym so I am doing double duty around the house. Picture me out in my old clothes replacing heads on the drip system. Here in Arizona, we must change them out almost every year because of the dry heat of summers. And since we will be gone all summer, we don’t want any blow outs. After putting a couple on upside down I got the hang of it and think I am ready for hire! Ha Ha.

Meanwhile we adopted a new puppy. We are not sure of the breed, or mix of breeds (and we don’t really care) but she is a cutie! We named her Taylor. Tucker is sort of in shock after being the only prince in the house for a while but I think he will adjust and be extremely happy. Anyway, a puppy is breathing new life into the house and our family feels whole again.

On another happy note. My joint pain is almost gone after resting it for a few weeks. I am not full on back to normal but I am able to do my yoga every day and dog walks. And that is a blessing to me. I will keep eating an anti-inflammatory diet and carefully exercising. I am so grateful.

My Look

First you will see the tag hanging on this jacket. I ended up returning it for a smaller size because it was too big in the shoulders and I thought it looked weird. The extra small that I exchanged it for was much better. So much so that I got it in a beautiful red color too.

This jacket is interesting. It looks like a blazer but is made from a knit fabric. It doesn’t wrinkle and it hangs so lovely and it is a fabulous weight. It takes the place of a cardigan for spring and summer. The pockets are working pockets too. I haven’t opened mine yet and am not sure I will.

I wore my jacket with a white column that included white baggy jeans and a white bodysuit. I thought my old tan belt would look so nice with the pop of pink and I also wore an ancient pair of Born wedge mules. I hate that they are wearing out I have worn them for so long. I also carried a tan bag that day.

For jewelry I pulled out a couple necklaces and layered them for the jewelry trend I am seeing this spring. It is either a dainty necklace or chunky ones layered. So, fun!
