Veggies Food Over 50
The Scoop
With each passing day I read about all the things we can do to improve our health and increase longevity. One of the things I have always known but not perfectly practiced was getting in the recommended daily requirements for vegetables. According to the CDC adults should get 2 to 3 cups of vegetables a day.
Here are a couple of our regular vegetable choices. These on their own or with roasted chicken are a perfect meal.
Recipe:
Here I am I roasting green beans and brussels sprouts. I coated the green beans with sesame oil, soy sauce and fresh ground ginger. I coated the brussels sprouts with olive oil, pink Himalayan salt, balsamic vinegar and cracked black pepper. I roasted them on the same pan on 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
They are so delicious with the Asian flavors on the green beans and the slightly sweet flavors on the brussels sprouts.
