Shorts Season 2022

The Scoop

Well by golly it is officially shorts season here in Arizona! We are hitting the low 80s on the regular gang and I am not sad about it.

In the mountains I used to joke and say I got about two days a year where I could wear shorts. Of course, that was a little exaggerated but not by much. It was always cold there, especially in our house. Stone floors kept it very chilly all year long. And we never needed to turn on the air conditioner. I remember running the heat all the way to August.

Now I am in a climate where I wear shorts off and on, all winter long. My body is more relaxed. I used to be tensed up all the time due to being cold. Anyway, get ready for some shorts posts!

My Look

I grabbed these shorts at Costco a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t pass up the cute palm trees all over them. They are linen with an elastic waist. I mean how could I go wrong for twenty bucks. I ended up going back and picking up two more colors. The fit is perfection, just the right length and light weight. Yes please!

My top is a bodysuit that I have had for a couple of years and my sandals are many years old but I wear the heck out of them. They are tan which is so right but they also have rope detail block heals that make a pretty statement.

I’m still carrying around my giant round straw tote. I forgot to put on a necklace and the one I was going to wear would have been so cute. Oh well, next time!

I grabbed a denim jacket just in case I ran in a store that was cold, like Costco.
