Seek and Find Five Pounds

My dinning room.

My dinning room.

The Scoop

As I reported in my last post I gained five pounds over the course of three months during our big downsizing move to a new state debacle. Ha Ha. Truth be told I may have taken advantage of the excuse to eat crap non stop. But now that it is all behind me I am ready to start feeling good again.

I’m back to eating right and moving in healthy ways and I am so excited to get back to my happy weight. Meanwhile, how do I dress to cover up the extra weight?

I pull out my tried and true boot cut jeans in a dark wash (very old from White House Black Market), my black tunic (very old from Norsdstrom) and my oh so high booties (French Connection) also very old. You can see me wearing these items so many times on my blog. Here you can see me in the same jeans and also wearing this top in cream. Here too. I am wearing this same top with skinny jeans here. It looks like these tops date back to 2015 and the jeans too.

My Look

Boot cut jeans, with a mid rise in a dark wash add length to my legs. A light weight tunic that doesn’t add bulk but it elongates my frame in black creates a trim sillouette. I do a front tuck or pull the hem through my belt loop to give more shape to my figure.

Read this post by the late Brenda Kensil where she shares the Cheryl Tucker Tip. I sure miss this lady. Her sense of style and warm personality was a bright spot in the blogging world.

High heels again add height and leaness to this look and a long statement necklace just keeps the verticle theme going. And you can see my old leopard bag. This thing will always be on trend.
